On the beach
This is Uig Beach where the Lewis Chessmen were found. The sand is very white and tends to blow and I can see why the chessmen were lost in the first place. It is the most remote part of the island and a good place to go if you want to drop out of the world.
The white sand and crystal blue water would not go amiss anywhere. The colour of the water was as blue as any that I have seen. For sheer spectacular beaches, you could do a lot worse.
