A Noble Captive Hardbacks arrive

My hardback copies for A Noble captive have arrived! I love and adore the cover. It just is. My editors who comissioned the cover picked up the elements of the story in far better way than I could.
And it is just as exciting to get the copies for your second book as your first.
Okay, maybe a bit less...
Ironically it was just about a year that the full was requested, and what a year it has been!

I can't wait to read it! Seriously.

Beautiful cover, Michelle. I can't wait to read A Noble Captive again :-)

Btw, is that an Alfie and Annie Rose picture on your wall? I used to love reading those stories to my two.

Many thanks Allison and Sue!

And yes, it is Alphie and Annie Rose. Several years ago, Shirley Hughes sent a book for an auction to support the library at my children's middle school. She also sent the picture -- with an inscription. My children all loved her books.

Michelle, the cover looks absolutely gorgeous. I love what M&B Historicals are doing with their covers - they manage to be romantic, sexy but always classy.

I really like the cover too, it looks so romantic with the hero and heroine above and the scenery under them. I just might buy it when it comes out in paperback.

They look lovely, Michelle! I've never actually seen a hardback M&B before, so thank you for enlightening me :)

I am pleased everyone likes the cover so much.

It was designed in the US and the NA cover will be a variation of this one. There is a move afoot to make the UK and US cover much more similar.

Jess-- you can find hardbacks in the larger libraries. I know Sunderland City Library system buys hardbacks as does Newcastle. They find it much more cost effective as a hardback last longer. The hardbacks appear in the libraries two months before the paperbacks are released on general circulation (one month before Reader Service readers).
The most popular hardbacks are the pink ones for the Moderns and Romance. The women who read them (many read the entire range) are affectionately known as the Pink Lady brigade. And they (and other M&B readers) are the back bone of the UK library system.
