Handselling in Tescos!

As you can see I have been busy with my camera. I went back to WH Smiths and took a picture and then tried Tescos. There I was able to rearrange things so that I was next Jenna Bayley-Burke and Kate Hardy.

After I did this and my rather boring shopping, I went to the check out and had a lively chat with the woman there. I explained about Gladiadtor's Honour and she asked if I wouldn't mind signniig a copy for her and leaving at Customer Services where she'd pick it up later. She assured me it would be alll right as this is what they did when that Bobby Robson, ex-manager of Newcastle United came in for some of the male staff. And she confided, M&Bs were her favourite. It is her birthday next week and so she wanted to treat herself. I duly did as requested. I must have been beaming from ear to ear. The Customer Serice lady was absolutely wonderful about it.

Another reason why I like to shop at Tescos.

You are so cool, Michelle!

Excellent, Michelle! And the Gladiator looks as if he will fly off the shelves!

The only thing you need now is my dad there, handing out the book to people saying, "My daughter's friend wrote this. It's great. You'll love it." He certainly sold plenty of mine that way!

Lovely pics!

Raising a cup of coffee to my shelfmate (in lieu of wine as it's WAYYY too early)

Give it another year and they'll all be asking you how the writing's going and when your next books is out. (First time it happened to me I was taken aback - now, it just feels really nice.)

As the Tesco ads say 'Every little helps'!

There was only one Gladiator left when I went into town today. So you needn't have worried about it not selling.

I did the rearranging of shelf display thing for you and KateH too. I wonder if the shop assistants ever notice and wonder . . .

'I'm sure I put those out in a different order. . .??????'

Isn't that the best feeling? :) Good for you!

My local York Tescos didn't have the new M&Bs out this week :-( Will check next week, and do some discrete re-arrangement, if need be ...

Many thanks Alex.

It is wonderful to think all these people are doing subtle rearranging for me!

I had to go to Tesco's as we were out of bread. And then had to check, but another book had been sold and so I can really stop panicking now.
